How To Prevent Numb Feet When Cycling

Numb feet is a sensation that all cyclists dread and can me the most pleasant of rides unbearable and in my experience there are three leading causes of this condition.

The first is a simple case it being rather cold and your feet not getting proper circulation. This one is simple to fix with a proper set of over shoes or socks.

The second is a little more complex and is caused by changes to seat height, saddle position or cleat positioning.

Thirdly it can be a simple case of your cycling shoes not fitting properly. Are they too tight? Are they rubbing somewhere? Finally your foot might not be right in your shoe and this can be corrected with a special insole.
